FS children celebrated Earth Day with a virtual nature walk in the school garden, collecting items for a display and creating Earth Day posters. They learned about environmental conservation and made storage containers and watering cans from reusable materials like plastic bottles, understanding their role in protecting the planet.
FS students were honoured for their term-long achievements with appreciation certificates. The children actively participated, in fun and entertaining games like Pin the tail of the donkey, "Simon says and ‘Passing the Parcel”. To develop the mathematical skills, language of Maths and concepts in the context of the real world in which we live, while attempting to cater to the multiple intelligences and learning styles of our students. Students from FS enthusiastically emphasised the significance of celebrating International Women's Day. They created lovely cards and expressed their heartfelt feelings about their appreciation for their mothers and the unique qualities that make them extraordinary. FS2 C children presented their first-class assembly on Dreams and Aspirations. They shared information about the different professions of future that they dream and aspire to be when they grow up. They also sang the song ‘When I grow Up’ encouraging each one to follow their dreams. The FS2 students and parents wholeheartedly embraced the captivating theme of "Exploring the World!" Together, they delved into the wonders of animals, maps, and the enchanting UAE, fostering a sense of global citizenship and cultivating essential skills for future leaders. Through immersive, hands-on activities, children actively participated alongside their parents, igniting curiosity and broadening their understanding of our diverse planet. As part of Humanities Week, FS1 students donned costumes representing their favourite community helpers, immersing themselves in the world of space and discussing the job responsibilities associated with their chosen professions. This collective exploration not only sparked enthusiasm but also nurtured a spirit of inquiry and appreciation for the interconnectedness of our global community. Tolerance is a universal value and helps establish a global cohesive society. FS2 B presented their assembly on ‘Tolerance and Peace’. The children shared the need to treat others with respect and love. They displayed tolerance by being kind and helpful to everyone . They enjoyed singing songs to showcase Tolerance and Peace. FS2 Children had an enriching experience by celebrating The International Mother Language Day. By embracing and celebrating linguistic diversity, the event promoted inclusivity, cultural understanding, and mutual respect among students. Events such as these are crucial in shaping children into global citizens who value their own cultural heritage while embracing the diversity and richness of others On Safer Internet Day, children engaged in creating Internet safety rule posters for their class display. They also read the story "Smartie the Penguin" to learn valuable lessons about online safety, equipping them with essential tips for navigating the digital world responsibly. The trip to Dubai Miracle Garden was a delightful blend of exploration and education for the children of FS2. Engaging with the captivating floral displays, they discovered the beauty of nature in full bloom, creating cherished memories to treasure. The joy of sharing this experience with friends added an extra layer of happiness and enjoyment to their trip. |
