Children excitedly enjoyed ‘Go Green’ during the live lesson. The children and teachers dressed up in the EARTH colours. They were happy to talk about the three R’s - Reduce, Reuse and Recycle and the ways in which they can save our planet. Children enjoyed making paint palettes with recycled material. They used cardboard, bottle caps and glue to make the palette.
During the live lesson, the children used crushed biscuits, nuts, yogurt, honey and fruits to make a delicious fruit parfait. It was a fun filled day where the children and teachers dressed up as chefs. It was a treat to the eyes/ taste buds. What a delight to watch our Master Chef’s make and relish this unique treat. FS2 children celebrated “I am Sports Champ”. The children and teachers dressed up in their favourite sports attire. They discussed the importance of playing sports as how it will enhance in their flexibility, strength, balance and many gross motor skills. They also exercised for 5 -10 minutes with their teachers by following a video online. All the children promised to exercise for 30 minutes every day with their mum and dad. To provide a rich learning experience about Habitats, the FS2 teachers and children enjoyed dressing up like their favourite animal. They explored and created the habitat for different animals and wrote facts about them using “Pear Deck”. It was a delight to watch our young learners as they shared information and completed a comprehension on Penguins using the chat box. The lesson provided our students with the opportunity to learn about habitats in a fun, hands-on and interactive way. "Be a Rock Star” was celebrated by the FS2 team. It was a delight to watch the little rock stars all dressed up as they sang and danced on peppy songs. They discussed about their favourite musical instrument and enjoyed drawing the same on Pear Deck. Mr. Maker conducted a Maths Art integration session for the children of FS2. During the live lesson children enjoyed creating Eid lanterns with different 2D and 3D shapes. It was a fun filled day where the children and teachers dressed up in different shapes. It was a delight for the eyes to watch the children learn while being engaged in this creative process. During the live lesson the children of FS2 celebrated ‘I Dream I Aspire’. The children and teachers dressed up as different professions. We invited professionals from different fields to talk to the children about the work they do. Children were very confident as they spoke about their dreams and aspirations. They also sang a beautiful song ‘When I grow up’ pertaining to the theme of the day. During our live lesson, the children of FS2 dressed up as ‘Little Scientists’. We conducted an experiment on floating and sinking. They predicted and observed objects that will sink and float. They recorded their observations on a table. Our little scientists thoroughly enjoyed the lesson and have definitely learnt something new. Summary: Every year Earth Day, is celebrated on April 22nd. During the live lessons’ children of FS2 discussed the various ways with which they can protect Earth. They understood the importance of saving water, planting a sapling, helping and caring for animal and plant life etc. Children learnt about Earth Day through fun and engaging discussions, singing go green songs and making Earth Day craft. Parents day was celebrated to appreciate all parents for their selfless commitment to children and their lifelong sacrifice towards nurturing this relationship. They posted pictures and messages of how they spent quality time with their little ones on the padlet link. It was much needed break for all the parents. |
