The Science Day for FS2 was held on Wednesday,27th September with parents actively participating in the exploration of different aspects of the animal kingdom and sustainability. During the event, children enthusiastically put their scientific skills to the test and acquired knowledge about animals, minibeasts, endangered animals, and extinct species. A workshop on Hand Hygiene and Respiratory Etiquette was conducted for the FS students. Visual step-by-step hand-washing techniques were demonstrated and practised with students, as our little ones learn best through hands-on experiences and activities. FS 2 we provided a powerful and inspiring opportunity for our little children to engage in diverse activities related to peace, unity and making a positive difference in their world. The children came dressed in white along with their teachers to set the tone and respect that promote peace. The Building Phonics Skills Programme held on September 20th aimed to enlighten both children and parents about the techniques employed in the phonics lessons. This endeavour equipped children with the tools to improve their phonics skills. The main goal of the workshop was to educate the children and parents on the importance of reading and spelling, with an emphasis on the relationship between phonemes and graphemes. Engaging in activities like exploring rhyming words and alliterations, as well as developing the proficiency to decode words by recognizing individual sounds within them, provided each one with a hands-on experience of how phonics is taught in the Foundation Stage. The Reading and Phonics workshop took place on September 18th. This workshop played a crucial role in establishing the foundations of children's literacy skills and their broader cognitive development. It not only empowered parents with the knowledge of how to guide their children in learning to read but also fostered a lasting enthusiasm for lifelong learning and the exploration of the world through books and written materials. The well being of children is of paramount importance and school play crucial role in nurturing their physical and emotional health .today our school doctor had an amazing session with our children to address them on how their well being should be taken care and how important for them to maintain a healthy lifestyle. The FS2 children entered the madness of the Mathematics multiverse by identifying the shapes in the environment. They came dressed in shapes and patterns and sang songs on shapes around us. Children enjoyed a carousel of activities prepared by the teachers. The students and teachers of FS2 were dressed as their favourite story book character. They described their character and narrated the story to their friends. They enjoyed the parade through the FS corridors. The parents narrated stories to their children in their native language and uploaded it on the Padlet link shared. International Day of Charity helps us to remember those who are in need. Children of FS2 gained an understanding of the various ways to support others, such as sharing food and water, aiding animals in need, and participating in environmental cleanup efforts. Despite their young age, they crafted kindness kites, cards, and unique helping hand to demonstrate that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a significant impact. |
