FS2 students have been learning about dinosaurs – the prehistoric creatures, which are inspiring, and children enjoyed learning about, playing with, and having fun with these ancient huge lizards. They were eager to make Dinosaurs from recycled items such as toilet paper rolls, empty tissue boxes, coloured paper, paper plates, clips, etc.
Roars, stomps, and Dinosaurs everywhere. What a fantastic fun morning. The FS2 corridors were transformed into Jurassic World as children came dressed up as their favourite dinosaurs. Children paraded in their costumes in the corridors roaring and stomping and had lots of fun. They also built dinosaurs using LEGO, coloured dinosaur fossils and spoke about them. FS students experienced the evacuation process for Term 2 and were familiarized with the route towards the assembly points. The students were advised not to panic in case of fire alarm and also, the importance of moving in a calm and orderly manner to their respective assembly areas was discussed with the children. The school doctor Ms. Yousra addressed the FS2 students to raise an awareness about oral / dental hygiene. The aim of the workshop was to enhance the children’s knowledge about the ways to dental health. Maths week aimed to develop the mathematical skills, language and concepts in the context of the real world in which we live. FS2 celebrated DINO MATHS week. Children enjoyed creating patterns, sorting fossils, measuring the height and weight of dinosaurs, building dinosaurs with LEGO etc. It was a fun packed week that catered to all learning styles enabling children to honour their achievements along with their peers. |
