In FS, the children and teachers came dressed in green or had put a green ribbon as we celebrated World Mental Health Day. World Mental Health Day is an international day celebrated on the 14th of October aims to spread awareness and educate people about mental health in order to support people and remove the social stigma.

FS2 activities were based on ‘Shapes in the Animal Kingdom’. Children were engaged in various activities throughout the week like Sorting insects based on which can crawl or fly ,creating animals using 3D shapes and many more. They also came dressed-up in their favourite shape. It was impressive to see our young children learn the new concept of ‘data’ – how to record and analyse it in simple ways! FS celebrated World Dyslexia Day on Sunday, 10th October. Children and teachers came dressed-up in red. The aim was to generate awareness about how dyslexic people understand things differently. Children were encouraged to support them by being patient and include them and their families in routine chores. Children were also engaged in activities like spot the difference and a memory game. Teachers engaged them by giving them T-shirt cutouts to decorating creatively. : FS2C children made their friends aware of road safety through their assembly. They spoke about how you can cross the road and what safety measures you have to keep in mind while crossing the road. Children were very confident as they spoke about the rules you need to follow in a car or moving vehicle. Later they sang one beautiful song on traffic safety. FS students explored Space through different activities like solving puzzles, joining shapes to create rockets and art and craft activities. They also enjoyed singing and dancing to the songs followed by a story. Overall, it was a wonderful event as students showed their learning through their creativity and critical thinking skills. Road Safety Day was conducted if FS. Children were made aware of “how important traffic rules are?”. Good road safety practices were discussed with the children like, wearing seatbelts while travelling, no talking over the phone while driving, crossing the road on Zebra crossing /pedestrian crossing etc. They drew the traffic lights and learnt about the importance of different colours in the traffic light. The FS celebrated Teachers Day on Tuesday. The aim was to celebrate the amazing teachers who show up every day with professionalism, care, excellence and commitment. FS children created a card for their teachers. Teachers engaged them by asking questions like,” I wonder what would happen if there were no teachers?’ ‘My teacher is the best because… We celebrated ‘SEWA day’ on the 4th of October and the children learned about the dignity in labour of all the people who help us. Children made Thank you cards for their bus aunties, washroom aunty, teachers ‘and for those who work and support in Achievement Center. FS 2 children explored various hands on activities like perfume making using lemon leaves, exploring different smell , predicting different tastes , sensory walk to feel the sense of touch and investigating different sounds |
