The Makers day event had a plethora of activities which aims to foster creativity, innovation and develop critical thinking skills. FS Children celebrated Maker’s Day with great enthusiasm. The Theme for FS2 was Dino Challenge. Students made their own dinosaur from recycled items. They were encouraged to imagine themselves as real-life dinosaur. What type of dinosaur they would want to be? What will they look like and how will they move? were some of the questions they answered. Making the Dinosaur stand and balance was the challenge for them.Children were encouraged to be aware of their feelings and share how they feel with their family and friends. They learnt healthy skills and how to selfcare by doing exercise, eating healthy food, taking enough rest and avoiding too much screen time. Learning was reflected through drawings, role play, videos etc FS Children celebrated Mental Health week. They watched a story and were also encouraged to express their feelings about being with their family and friends.FS 2 students had an informative virtual field trip to the Butterfly Garden. The students linked the visit to the story they have been reading, ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ and also to their learning on life cyclesIn continuation of the Humanities week FS2 Children along with their parents made wonderful videos about different Life Cycle. The amazing videos were shared with the class teachers and then showcased in the class. Some of them even got pictures as babies to see the change. |
